Nikki is known for her compassionate, heart-felt offerings in counselling and healing group work in wellness and Self-Development Coaching.
She seamlessly combines elements from a variety of different schools of counselling and philosophy, drawing from her experience and her life-long love of learning.
Nikki is a qualified integrative counsellor and as a professional member of the BACP she follows their ethical guidelines to provide a safe, high-quality space where each person’s worldview is heard and respected. Her work is grounded in empathy, integrity and deep, intuitive listening.
Nikki promotes Self-worth and Self compassion as a basis of her many tools for growth and change. Her intuitive listening focuses on the individual and helps to inform a professional, empathetic relationship. Her compassionate blend of techniques gives autonomy to her client’s and offers tools-for-life to help build self-compassion, strength, emotional regulation, and sustained personal development.
History
Nikki began her interest in people as a qualified Sports therapist. She discovered holistic therapies, studying Energy Healing and Reflexology which drew her to seek more understanding of the mind-body relationship, and she trained as a Yoga & Pilates instructor, spending time in various Ashrams in New Zealand, India and the UK. Through yoga philosophy, breathe-work and meditation her passion grew in the ‘human condition’. She studied Mindfulness and the healing approach of Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T) becoming a practitioner. And eventually a qualified Counsellor.
Nikki followed the work of the metaphysical approach of Louise L. Hay’s ‘Heal Your Life’ methods and trained as a practitioner in this compassionate, Self-development work in 2012 and later qualified as a ‘Heal-Your-Life’ (HYL)Coach. She had previously studied a degree in Community Theatre and Drama of Identity, which helps her with metaphor, emotion and creative expression. Nikki continues her integrative studies of mind and body. She is currently studying under Dru Yoga and Bangor university in a specific program for Chronic Pain and Wellness. Nikki calls herself a life-long student with a deep passion for sharing her wisdom, her heart and compassion through psychoeducation, her classes, workshops and 1-1 clients.
